Rumitone Digestion Injection EVA Pharma

COMPOSITION:
Each 1 ml contains:
Menbutone 50 mg
Sorbitol. 250 mg.

PROPERTIES:
Menbutone or genabilic acid, is a derivative of oxobutyric acid which acts as choleretic excitosecretory, trypsinogen and pepsinogen and as cholagogue. Injected into body, it allows increasing from two to five times the bile, pancreatic and peptic secretion compared to their normal values. It therefore facilitates transit and assimilation of food and acts as liver detoxifier. Sorbitol is hyperglycemic and cholagogue. It must be metabolized to be used by the body for the purpose of energy production; the energy intake is therefore deferred. It is metabolized to fructose, mainly in liver. It may be directly metabolized to glucose by the aldose reductase.

TARGET SPECIES:
Cattle – pigs.

INDICATION:
Stimulation of hepato-digestive activity during digestive disorders or hepatic insufficiency.

DOSAGE & ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
I/M & slow I/V injection.

For whole product: 1 ml – 5 ml of product / 10 kg b.wt. Cattle: 30 – 40 ml. Pigs: 20 – 30 ml.
Calves: 15 – 20 ml. Piglets: 1 ml /10 kg b.wt. A single treatment is sufficient in principle; it can be possibly repeated once at intervals of 24 or 48 hours.

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS:
Intravenous administration should be done slowly (not less than 1 minute) to avoid the appearance of the side effects.
It is advisable not to inject intramuscularly (IM) more than 20 ml in a single point.
Do not administer together with solutions containing calcium, procaine penicillin & vitamin B complex.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not use in animals with heart diseases.
Do not use in advanced pregnancy.
Do not inject to newly born pet animals.

SIDE EFFECTS:
When the product is administered intravenously, hyper salivation can be observed as well as watery eyes, tremors, urination and defecation.
When the product is administered intramuscularly, a reaction at the injection site can be observed.
WITHDRAWAL TIME:

Cattle:
Meat: 2 days
Milk: 2 days
Pigs:
Meat and offal: 2 days.

STORAGE:
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Use immediately after opening.

SHELF LIFE:
2 years.

Carton Box containing an amber type Il glass vial contains 100 ml solution, closed with bromobutyl rubber stopper and crimped with flip-off aluminum cap covered with plastic cap, in a carbon box with insert leaflet & outer label.
